The Amazon 1863 Project are having another event.
Heritage Victoria Maritime Archaeologists and Conservator are visiting Inverloch.
They will deliver some lectures, discuss cataloguing techniques for Amazon artefacts and would love to view any artefacts that locals might have hidden away in the back shed!
The event will start at 10 AM, please bring your lunch. Tea and coffee will be available.
It is quite significant to have these specialists here for the day to interact with the public and a great opportunity for locals to ask questions.
After recent huge rains, there is another section of Amazon wreckage visible in the eastern outlet of Wreck Creek (West of the Surf Club).
When: Saturday 20th August. 10am to 4pm approx
Where: Inverloch Community Hub, 16 A’Beckett St, Inverloch
Cost: Free
Contact: Karyn 0423 682 580 or email secretary@amazon1863.org.au
