Being a musician and songwriter, Ian is passionate about great songs and songwriters. His love of music extended to working in the media, which included CD reviewer and What’s On editor of the Entertainment Guide in The Age newspaper.
He is also a former proprietor of the Acoustic Cafe in Collingwood where Ian nurtured local musicians and ran a very successful open mic.
Since relocating to South Gippsland Ian has been involved with the local music scene. Both performing and writing for local media and starting up the Gippsland Grooves feature in the Gippsland Magazine. He currently hosts Acoustic Thursdays open mic in Wonthaggi every Thursday evening.
He has just released a Christmas single: Christmas on the Yanakie Isthmus and his third independent album: Night Sky Burning.
