Do you suffer from Arthritis and would like to talk to, and, share experiences with people who understand what you are going through, join a Support Group in Korumburra or Leongatha. Cancer Support Groups
Finding a local Cancer support group has just got easier. More than 120 cancer support groups meet regularly across Victoria. Relaxed and informal – and outside of the hospital setting, they’re run by people with a firsthand experience of cancer under the guidance of Cancer Council Victoria.

Bairnsdale – Autism Social Participant (ASP) Family Day
Autism Social Participant (ASP) Family Day is for families caring for a family member on the autism spectrum who wish to participate in an environment to promote socialising and play with other families living with similar challenges. The ASP Family Day is to encourage all members of the familiy to participate as we are a diversity friendly group, sharing interests and information with others about living with the autism spectrum in East Gippsland. The All Abilities Park on the Princes Highway in Bairnsdale is a brilliant place to meet. It will allow families to relax in an environment that caters for the needs of all family members. We ask that you wear something blue every time so as other families can identify you. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink as well as other support items that will enable you to relax and enoy the company of other families. This group will be meeting from 12.00pm to 2.00pm on the last Sunday of every month and we hope that you can all participate.

ASP Dinner Group is for adults on the autism spectrum or living with the spectrum who want to participate in an environment to promote socialising whilst enjoying a meal with other adults. The ASP Dinner Group also wants parents of children with an autism spectrum to participate as we are a diversity friendly group, sharing interests and information with others about living with the autism spectrum. Inverloch – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
The Inverloch and District Autism Spectrum support group meet on the first Wednesday of every month, during school term, at the Inverloch Hub (large meeting room that opens out to the playground) 16 Abeckett St., Inverloch from 10.30am-12.30pm.
All are welcome so come and join us for a chat and a cuppa, while the kids play in the playground. Tea and coffee provided at no cost. Inverloch – South Gippsland Mental Illness Carers Group
If you are caring for someone with a mental illness, it can be a stressfull, lonely and difficult experience. This support group enables people who are caring for someone with a mental illness, that they are not alone, and in the company of other carers where they can find support, friendship, and at times, a augh! We meet at the Bass Coast Community Health building, next door to the supermarket in Reilly Street, Inverloch, at 10.00am on the 2nd Monday of every month, except January and June – and a couple of ‘odd’ Mondays when we meet on the Wednesday at a bakery. Leongatha Group – South Gippsland Carers
South Gippsland Carers is a group of carers and families of people with additional needs and frail aged. We are there for all carers who live in the South Gippsland region, and we provide support, social get-togethers, information sharing and regular meetings. - Individual support.
- Expressions of interest for Parent-To-Parent (maximum of 6 parents in each) groups in South Gippsland, Baw Baw and Latrobe. These could be in the form of in-person co-ordinator led or in person parent-led. Morning, Afternoon or Evening groups.
- Information or education sessions to be delivered near you about issues of interest. For example – school matters, positive communication, self-advocacy for your child & family. Contact the co-ordinator to discuss what you would like.
